Privacy Policy

What we collect — the short version
We collect only what we need to provide the service, bill subscriptions if you upgrade, and understand aggregate usage. We do not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles.
1. Birth data
Your birth data is processed in your browser to generate your chart. A copy is saved to your device's local storage so you do not have to re-enter it on each visit. If you sign in, charts and saved people you choose to keep are also saved to your account so they can sync across devices.
2. Email address
If you enter an email, we store it for the purposes you enabled: account access, receipts, notifications, or product updates if you opt in.
3. Payment data
If you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs that data. We receive from Stripe your subscription status, billing email, and an opaque customer ID.
4. Analytics
We currently use lightweight product events in the browser to understand whether core flows are working. These events do not include your birth date, birth city, saved people, or payment card information. If we add a third-party analytics provider such as Plausible later, we will update this policy before enabling it.
5. Share links
Private share links are designed for sharing a chart or match with a specific person. Share data is minimized and expires automatically after up to 14 days by default, unless the deployment is configured with a shorter retention window.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete any personal data we hold about you. For server-side data, email hello.filota@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
Ming Shu is not intended for users under 16 or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Third parties we use
Stripe processes payments. If we later add an email or analytics provider, we will update this policy before enabling it. We do not sell your data or share birth data with advertisers.
9. Data retention
Local device data persists until you clear it. Server-side email and subscription records are retained as long as your account is active, plus up to 24 months after cancellation for legal and tax compliance, then deleted.
